Can anyone suggest anywhere? Don't want Disney or pink/blue etc, but sth simple, plainish and good quality (ie thick).
TIA!

I"ve only bougth them from ikea, a fiver and bog standard white. I've hardly used one for dd3, she's changed anywehre and everywehre

Have you looked at Jojomamnbebe? I think they do some fairly non-offensive ones (ie. no disney cartoony yeuchiness)

Chocolateface · 20/04/2007 23:08

M&P? they have a beige thing going on.

Pannacotta · 20/04/2007 23:14

M&P v tasteful but £25-30 for a change mat?!
Jojo limited choice at the mo (looked there first). Can't get to IKEA either, will check out Toysrus but nothing on website.
Thought it might be easier fo find sth more modern looking this time, but still lots of pink or blue gingham or Disney (yuk)...

I managed to get an inoffensive beige one at John Lewis

M & P Mille & Boris is beige very nice we had the changing mat for our dd, now at parents house. We also have the highchair

Pannacotta · 21/04/2007 09:23

EHM is the mat quite thick? We have an old M&P one at my Mums for DS (bought a while ago) and it is quite thin, not padded enough for a newborn IMO?
Thanks

We've got a beige wedge shaped one from mothercare which is fab. You can buy washable covers for it too.

uptomyeyes · 21/04/2007 09:32

I got a lovely beige one with a small beige towelling liner velcroed to it from Mothercare - £12 I think. It may have a discreet little elephant or teddy bear on it

EHM · 21/04/2007 10:27

Pannacotta yes comformtable. We now have one from boots which matched the colour of the baby room. The M & P one never get used at my parents house.

Get the cheapest one you can find and stick it in a pillowcase. The fabric is nicer on your newbor's skin than that cold plastic.

i got mine from a market stall. got 2, one for upstairs (lived under her cot) and one for downstairs (lives under the sofa) cost £2 each. both beige. spend your money on something else.
