Hi There,
Any suggestions for a tandem (our front door is too narrow for a twin) buggy. We would like something comfy for both kids, and would like to hear your recomendations! Many thanks.

I have a 15 month age gap between mine, and I love the Phil & Teds Explorer. They are really heavy, but both dc love it and I got over my worries about the one behind being a bit near the ground. Now they are roughly the same size they swap around who sits where all the time so it works well now too.

If you do get one, look on the interweb as we got a really good deal on the full set up for both seats.

I have just bought a Phil and Teds off someone on here actually-my 2nd is due next month my first is going to then be 18 months..It is great to push-have been using it with DD and had a practice with my newborn nephew as well to really test it and its very manouverable..And good on all terrains!
Can reccomend it..
I got it for £250 with both seats, a footmuff and a rain cover thrown in and its in very good condition-and have seen similar priced ones on here and on ebay..

P & T's by a mile. I have a 12 month gap and it's been brilliant.

I have a powertwin with a 19mth gap. I really like it but the person who mentioned the front recline is right; The front seat only reclines slightly. That said, i just swap them around depending on who's likley to go to sleep.

Not a year age gap but 20 months...We got a cosatto duet lite and find it brill..!!! Yeah its heavy to push BUT we found all double prams like this!

DS sleeps peacefully in the back and dd loves steering up front.!!!

Priced at £180 ish we found it good value for money esp and no doubt dd won't want to be in it for much longer.

Mmm but thinking about the recline question...front seat doesn't recline..BUT we resolved it by giving dd a neck support thingy that she can put around her neck should she want a sleep. Its a eeyore one so she is made up.!

Hi I had the same problem as you and have a 12mth age gap and bought a 2nd hand phil and teds. I love it!!! So easy to push and fits through my narrow porch door[my side by side didnt]. Have also had a marco sky tandem which was ok but not a patch on the phil and teds.

Ooo I'll watch this thread as my ds will be 15 months when the new baby arrives.

Nemo2007 · 20/04/2007 15:51

meant to add my phil and teds doesnt recline for toddler seat but the new version does. However the seat has a bit of a slope to it anyway so DD1 has never found it a problem to sleep in. Another plus for me was the footwell was big enough to fit DS bum in as he is 3.6yrs but after a long walk gets tired.

Thanks for all your replies. If anyone hears of a second hand Phil and teds please let me know! x

selee just keeping checking the for sale board and also on ebay. I got mine on ebay for £215 with delivery and it had a cocoon, raincover and the toddler seat with it. Will admit was a little bashed i.e couple of chunks out the handlebar foam and basket has stains on the bottom but hey ho I saved a couple of hundred buying 2nd hand so I am not complaining.

I'm glad to hear someone else uses the Phil & Ted's footwell as an extra seat!
