Sod pink. Sod lilac. Sod pastel colours generally. And sod cutesy-wutesy slogans. I only want some NICE cheerful T-shirts for my 21mo dd2....

...preferably second hand. I have looked at so many ebay pages that my eyes have gone squiffy. So, where are all the nice clothes that are not overtly aimed at a specific gender?

Oh that's a shame. They've only got one branch here. Before they opened at BC I was getting my Swedish friend to send things over. Was even contemplating a trip to Sweden to have a look! Now that would be expensive!

Am totally with you on the pink thing though. Am sick of all the wishy washy girls clothes.

Su Su Ma Ma are now also available online, for the pastel-averse.

TooTicky · 12/04/2007 17:12

Frogs, what a wonderful site! My dd1 will want everything, then ds1 and ds2 will get involved... and dd2 is needy...oh god!

What ever happened to Smilechild - they had nice stuff

frogs · 12/04/2007 17:29

They're fab, aren't they? I bought dd1 and ds a matching pair of these in a rare fit of extravagance about five or six years ago (well, it was that brand, but purchased from a hippy/ethnic shop somewhere). Dd2 is now wearing the smaller one of the pair and I still have the bigger one in a drawer waiting for her to grow into. They've had loads of wear, and the kids look like little bumblebees in them!

I'll let you know when she's outgrown the smaller one...

TooTicky, hotmail seems to be down atm, but I'll mail you back once I receive your email.

TooTicky · 12/04/2007 17:29

Smilechild still exist.

I like Jako-o for bright colour things.

TooTicky · 12/04/2007 18:41

Oh yes, Jako-o. I don't know about their ethics though. I tend to assume that being German they will be fairly good, but it doesn't necessarily follow.

that spanish shop, what they called.... um.... oh poo... a high st chain...ZARA, thats it. zara have nice stuff for girls i think (i only notice boys stuff tho, so havent looke too closely)

LunarSea · 12/04/2007 20:33

Not sure about their overall ethical policies, but Jako-o are an affilate on ecomiles so I'd think that suggests that they're probably ok.

TooTicky · 12/04/2007 23:06

bobsmum, we will probably end up desperately outbidding each other. Or not, as I am terribly disorganised and always miss the end of auctions.
Right, will investigate other suggestions tomorrow - thanks all
