Anyone have any views on this?
Is a mei tai difficult to get the hang of or easy enough for a novice user?

A vote for the Ergo. Have had many slings but found nothing else that transfers the weight off-of the shoulders and onto the hips like this one. Could and have worn it all day. However, didn't like it in newborn mode (much prefer wilkinet at this stage). Also, found getting baby in and out without assistance when wearing it on my back a little tricky - but got easier with experience and confidence (both mine and my son's!) I have the original version which has been good for DS1&2, though my large three year old only hitches short rides these days.

Oh, and if anyone can tell me how to get a baby to keep their sun hat on while in a back carrier, I would love to know!
