We had a Baby Too - read all the great reviews about how adjustable it was, ten months to four years ... DD couldn't reach the pedals until she was about two and a half, and even then couldn't apply enough force to turn them. We were sick of the sight of thing by then, so we sold it and bought her a bike.

Obviously a bike isn't an option for a 15 month old, but it's worth trying to find these things in real life, not just ordering online, and checking out how close your DS would be to being able to use it properly. DD isn't tiny, by the way - average height and maybe a little short in the legs.

hope he enjoys it kitty. Like gravitas, my ds couldn't really do much with ours (we got a baby driver) for along time. He's 3.4 now & has managed to ride it himself for 2 mins last week . Did love being wheeled around at that age though!

kittypants · 06/04/2007 22:40

was it ok for long shopping trips at 15 months?

not with the plastic wheels, really (I am thinking that's what you've got isn't it?). My wrist would ache. And you have to put the steering lock on (well I had to, my ds would go mad with it off veering all over the place). I found it handy for trips to the park & so forth, walks up the street to the post box. It's been replaced in his affections by a firechief bike from halfords, barely gets a look in!

accessorizewithbabysick · 06/04/2007 22:45

I meant not comfy to push for long trips, he was quite happy in it.

kittypants · 06/04/2007 22:48

oh no!

OP posts:
accessorizewithbabysick · 06/04/2007 22:52

Is that what you wanted it for? Is he not happy in buggy?

kittypants · 06/04/2007 22:54

ys he likes buggy but we do walk quite alot,cm is 2 miles each way.i'll just have to wait and see!like i said if its unsuitable i'll resell and buy the other one, thankyou, its good to hear from someone whos got one!

Does the other one have rubber wheels? I always thought if I were to buy one again (which I won't unlike the 5 buggies I have purchased) I'd get the radio flyer one with rubber wheels, gltc I think or urchin but prob. waaay more expensive. Anyway, I'm sure it will be great, we did get lots of use out of ours really

kittypants · 06/04/2007 23:00

i think so yes.thats the one i really wanted but talked myself into cheaper one!im sure itll be fine im buggy victim too and slings!

OP posts:
accessorizewithbabysick · 06/04/2007 23:03

have just started down the sling road as have exhausted the buggy obsession...

kittypants · 06/04/2007 23:06

ergo is great!my favorite!im 5"2 size0/6 on top and can carry my chunky 15 month old for hours!

OP posts:
lackofgravitas · 07/04/2007 17:19

Baby Too does have rubber wheels.

Filing away that info on the Ergo - my tiny friend (5' nothing and petite) has just announced that she is pregnant, and of course having a child I MUST appoint myself expert of all things baby-related, so I have been wondering what slings were good for a smaller frame.
