advice for new pushchair

babyno2 due end of october and I have a pram for the first few months, but after that I need a new pushchair, as dd1's is only suitable from 6 months (and I wouldn't put a baby younger than 12 months in it anyway) doesn't have a hood etc..it's not suitable.

Needless to say I do not want to shell out a huge amount money on something like the Pliko as it doesn't seem to be worth it.

I've thought about the Techno, but I'd like to hear more suggestions. I need something that is fairly lightweight as I'll use it on the trains/tube as well occasionally, but still comfy and protecting baby as it will be using it form around JAn/Feb, still very cold.

Any suggetions greatly appreciated!!

(Be aware I've had a M&P Aria and hated it all the time so that's a no no no)

Love the graco citisport, or the chicco one that is just the same (can't remember the name).

They are light, but sturdy, and have a carry handle. Also comes with hood, raincover, and cosy toes. Lining of the seat is very padded and cosy.

Definitely worth a look.

(I've had about 12 pushchairs, but managed to stay away from McClaren's so far)

thanks

I don't really like the fold flat options (I found teh Aria a struggle to puch and get over pavements and steps).

Are the brakes on the Techno 03-04 better than the old ones? I've seen negative comments about them.

More suggestions please!! I'll goa nd have a proper look in the shops as well, but there's so many things you onmly notice once you are using your puschair daily.

the brakes are alot better than they use to be -

The new Techno brakes are much better - the original ones were next to useless, but I've just bought the 2004 model Techno XT and am very pleased with it. My only main criticism is that it's difficult to get in the basket when the seat is fully reclined. Then again, you've got individual handles rather than an all in one handlebar so you can hang shopping off of those if necessary (being careful not to tip it of course).

I've got a Graco Mirage and think its pretty good with steps etc. It's one of the lighter ones, but I think the Graco Citisport Lite is even lighter. Only design flaw I can think of with it is it doesn't have a bottle tray at the back (the tray at the front is useless except for resting the car seat on)

I've just ordered a Graco citisport in Blueberry for £39.99

I have an old one from ds1 which has worn out. Ds2 is seven months now and he was in the old one from about 3 weeks old.

I got mine from kiddicare but it was a special offer because I'd bought something before. But if you E-mail me I can send you the link to the cheaper page.

This is the website

Search for Graco CitiSport Blueberry

It should be £84.99
