Dolls house/play house for boys?

My ds is 5 this week, he loves to play with his cousins (she a girl) dolls house, she also has a samller plastic one with little people (bigger than polly pocket).

Is there anything similar, with people/rooms/furniture etc for boys? Have looked but can find nothing.

TIA

He's got the elc castle.

He plays with these dolls houses in a much nicer way, more role play IFYWIM. With his castle it's more violent play - bad guys against good guys.

I'm trying to encourage gentle play

I think plain wooden ones can be lovely for boys (but expensive)

This kind of thing amazon used from £40

Can't you just get him a dolls house? Or are thy all extremely pink? If so, that is so annoying and soooo typical. I know you can buy wooden 'kit' doll houses, which you can then paint yourself (ie, not pink!)

I'm sure I've seen some plain wooden ones somewhere - will have look for you.

Hmmm. but he is such a boyish boy. Any normal house would be banished as too girly.

Is there nothing out there for our boys to play nicely with?

this site has got one for about £35 and not too girly, with furniture.

you have to scroll down

I think this is the one I saw - not girly at all I don't think.

FWIW, I think its a lovely idea and if your son plays nicely with dolls houses you should get him one, whether pink or otherwise

Ds2 has this one - or rather a 3 storey version of it. Ds1 (a very boyish boy) also interacts with it, though usually by having dinosaurs climbing up it etc!

Ds2 also enjoys his Dora the Explorer castle (which has furniture and figures).
