Little guy is in 2 piece stuff as he is a little porker and too long in the leg for most baby gros with feet in them and too small to go up too many sizes... plus we're in cloth naps a bit of the time.
Socks don't stay on
What the hell do I use? Is there a sock
I heard baby gap socks were good, is it worth the trek and ethic moral conscience (sweat shops in China, child labour yada) just to find a pair of bloody socks?

I found Tesco socks stayed on fine. I think they're £2.75 for 5 pairs.

Tatties · 06/04/2007 22:27

these - very expensive though.

Piffle - Baby gap socks are good. We had a pair of knitted booties with tie ribbons which were great, but DD managed to put them on a lamp and singe a hole in them - so we're back to babygap again now!

MrsJohnCusack · 07/04/2007 10:35

I have no idea if any of DS's socks would in fact stay on because 2 year old DD removes the bloody things everytime she lays eyes on them...

saralou100 · 07/04/2007 10:52

tesco's have been good (and cheap)

thisisdavina · 07/04/2007 11:30

Put them in tights, no chance of them falling off then.

All 4 of mine wore woolly tights even the boys!

elasticbandstand · 07/04/2007 13:27

try tights

elasticbandstand · 07/04/2007 13:33

go on try the tights, i did.. you know you want to..

If you have any friends in austraia, get them to send you some Bonds baby ankle socks. They come in lovely stripey colours and stay on well. Failing that, some Daisy Roots shoes over socks - these are the only way to keep socks on crawlers.

Cazwa · 07/04/2007 21:38

Trumpettes.

schmizaj · 08/04/2007 20:38

I've ended up using old fashioned booties a lot, you know the ones that you tie in bow around ankle as they will stay on. Hard to find though, I was sent quite a lot from NZ, but also bought some at craft fairs.

I also have to say that the pairs of gap socks I bought in their sale were the only other ones that did stay on....

bradysmum · 21/04/2007 19:35

I have found little socks that stay on from birth. They are a brand called Gagou Tagou out of Montreal (I am in Canada) I am happy to send a pair to whoever found it as frustrating as I did to constantly pick up socks on the ground because they fell off. Cute colours & patterns, and only .45GBP each pair. Feel free to contact me if you want a pair. :0

i have these things that go over the socks to keep them on I bought from daisy and tom

Piffle · 21/04/2007 19:55

Tis ok have sorted it now

Bobux work, Soggs/trumpettes are fab

peachygirl · 22/04/2007 21:01

Another vote for baby gap the 3-6 month fit DD and she has really small feet (like her mother)
I have some M and S one which are OK but are a bit too big
The ones from the baby bouquets I got are enormous!
