Fold up trampoline, indoor use, for child - any ideas?

DD adores jumpinmg and bouncing and we have been thinking of getting her a mini trampoline for indoor use. She is currently 2y 3m. But if a bit dearer we may wait until Christmas to get one - she'll be 2y 8m then. She is very stable on her feet.

Not sure on where to look though. Any MNetters that can help maybe???

What we want it:

  • mini trampoline/bouncer
  • indoor use (live in apartment)
  • folds flat - to go behind wardrobe, etc.
  • preferably has a handle for Dd to hold onto whilst jumping
  • available in UK, either in store or online

Erm, not sure what else right now! LOL

So, any ideas anyone? TIA

I have found This one in Argos or these in Index .

I am not sure how portable they are though

John Lewis sell the TP Toys one. (link won't go to the trampoline; type "folding trampoline" in the search box)

You should be able to find a £10 off code for John Lewis online, on the internet somewhere...

We have the green and purple (non-folding) argos one. We use it indoors and it has a handle but it doesn't fold. The only thing to bear in mind is that putting the things together is hard work and require two people, with at least 3 hands each! (for stretching the elastic round).

I bought something called a Jumpoline when in Australia at Christmas. It is inflatable and in fact is really large so will depend on how big your apartment is. We are lucky and have a large living room so I inflate it (with electric pump) and leave it up for a 3 week period and then deflate it for a month or so and then reinflate it etc. Ds doesn't get bored of it this way, he and his friends can jump in it together and when I pack it away it is quite small so goes in the cupboard. It holds a heap of kids (even my husband, son and a couple of friends). they jump all over it as it has walls to stop them bouncing out yet allows easy access in and out via throwing yourself at it and clambering in (they love this the most). When he is in bed I just put it on one side (it is round) against the wall so we can watch tv and have some floor space but it comes down first thing in the morning when his nibs wakes up. He uses it for a multitude of things like propping upside down against the couch and using as a cubby house or as a slide if it is propped against the couch. You can fill it with balls or I actually filled it with balloons for his birthday. Don't know if you can buy it here but I did buy it in ToysRUs in Australia and it wasn't that expensive. Very robust as well as made for outdoors

The John Lewis/GLTC one looks ideal. Don't think the Argos and Index ones fold, do they? The folding bit is important for us as we don't have room to leave it up.

Will look into the inflable one a bit more. SIls family are in Oz and are coming over for Christmas, so may be a possibility for then.

Thanks all.

Happy to recommend the TP toys folding trampoline that's available from letterbox

Heathcliffscathy · 12/07/2004 12:36

Hulababy · 12/07/2004 13:16

But does the Argos one fold? That bit is a definitemust for us.

Thanks marialucia - will have a look for it.

We've got the GLTC one - we had exactly the same criteria as Hulababy - and it's excellent. It's the only folding one we could find.

Cheers prettycandles. Now I just have to persuade Dh that she would love it now!
