I am having to buy 2 next stage car seats for my DD1 (3.2) - should i buy
a) Maxi Cosi Rodi XP (Have been very happy with maxi cosi cabrio & priori XP)
b) Concord Lift Evo PT which seems to do better in the reviews.

Anyone got a Concord Lift Evo PT? here

Thanks

and does anyone have anything bad to say about the maxi cosi rodi xp?

We've got the concord - DD is just 5 and is very comfortable in it. THe Rodi XP is meant to be good too I think - we bought the Concord on the strength of the tests.

thanks PandaG - my DD is just 3 and does seem to be outgrowing the priori XP as she is quite tall... will the concord swamp her?

also does it recline at all?
and does the back come off so you are just left with the booster seat later?

we have just moved dd2 from her maxi cosi priori to a Graco Rally Sport - very happy with it, it reclines, teh seat is supercomfy and the back comes off.

costs about 99 squid but I got one (new) from ebay for 56.

Enid · 21/03/2007 11:29

my 7 year old dd wants one it is that comfy

PandaG · 21/03/2007 12:29

sorry amiadai. If your dd is tall I am sure the concorde would be fine, there is loads of room for adjusting the headrest. It has one recline position, and one upright, and DD is very comfy in it. THe back does not come off though.

bumpety bump for all maxi cosi rodi XP users..

We got a Maxi Cosi Rodi for DD when she was 4. Very happy with it, except that it doesn't recline, or the version I've got doesn't. We never really used the recline on the Priori so I didn't think it would matter, but she complains so maybe it's less supportive, or maybe she just needs to get used to it?

BigCremeEggs · 21/03/2007 16:09

im thinking of getting one too - a maxi cosi rodi xp as if you have a look on the mothercare website it reclines on 3 different levels. Also i was looking at britax hi-liner too but the maxi looks more nicer.

the problem is that my DD is not 3 till October and she is so tall and heavy...she was last weighed before Xmas 36.5lb and is just over 3 foot tall..the lady said that i best to wait till she is 40lb...

We have the Concord Lift Evo PT and love it. It came top in the Which safetly reports last year, which is why we bought it. It is light enough to move between cars and dd finds it very comfortable.

amidaiwish · 22/03/2007 10:06

thanks - do you not find it a problem that the seat doesn't recline?
also how long will it last as the back doesn't come off, so will you then have to buy a booster?

The concord does have a bit at the back which you can pull out and make it recline slightly. We don't bother with it as dd seems comfortable as it is and has slept for long journeys in it.

I think it should last a fair while -atleast till she is 7 I would think. We do have one of those booster seats(without the back)and she hates it, as it is so unformtable and not particularly safe in my opinion.

Mala · 22/03/2007 10:21

That should read uncomfortable!

amidaiwish · 22/03/2007 10:34

sounds like the one. thank you.
