fed up of chucking half a bottle in just to get enough bubbles for ds's nighttime fix...

put your finger under the tap to create more of a jet that's what i do

Bubble99 · 20/03/2007 20:04

I'm a bit bubbly.

Actually, I'm not. My mnet name makes me wince now, TBH, because I think it equates me with the 'I'm a bit mad/bubbly/a right larf brigade.

Which means - a bit dull/very deluded/not picked at netball.

Tutter · 20/03/2007 20:06

Get a water softener.

Fill the bath from the shower hose, whilst doing semi-underwater jazz hands and shrieking "Froth, you bastard, I WANT SUDS!"

The last bit won't help at all but it will amuse the neighbours.

snowwonder · 20/03/2007 20:13

probably stupid question but do you put your hand under water and shake it around to create more bubbles??????????

we jsut buy sainsburys cream bath and bubbles are lush..... my dd's compete for the biggest one around them

Kif · 20/03/2007 20:14

the thing is, more doesn't always mean bublier.

[I'm married to someone who tends to literally pour the whole bottle in to try to get super bubbles]

I don't even know what we use - it has a pic of the lil mermaid on the front. Franjkly i go for cheap ( see above), but do lots of 'vibrating hand' to froth it. make sure you pour it right under hot tap too.

please rate this review (delete as appropriate)
[my problems are forever sorted]
[if i'd wanted to hear the bleedin' obvious i would have phoned my nan]

My husband bought me one of those jacuzzi mats as a christmas present, and I put it in the bath for my daughter, then put a tiny bit of bubble bath in. Well the bubbles were halfway up the wall. My dd loved it, she was hiding in the bubbles. You only need a very tiny amount.

Pannacotta · 20/03/2007 22:02

Cornetjo, loving the sound of the jacuzzi mat my DS would go mad for one, where can they be found? Have never heard of them before...

cornetjo · 21/03/2007 19:26

Not sure where mine came from as it was a pressie, but there are some going on ebay. Like this:

janeite · 22/03/2007 20:38

Radox deffo the best for cheap bubbles. Not sure how child-friendly though.

talcam · 23/03/2007 13:35

Whenever I use infacare I get tons of bubbles so many we need to use the shower for hair as the water is just too bubbly

MorocconOil · 23/03/2007 13:44

Faith in Nature, Lavender and Geranium foam bath/shower gel produces loads of bubbles. Smells lovely too. We have an organic supermarket where I buy it, but I have seen it in independent health food shops if there's one near you.

PestoEasterMonster · 23/03/2007 13:44

I quite like Avon's Apple & Cinammon bubble bath.

prettybird · 23/03/2007 13:48

Tutter - do you live in a hard water area? That might also be affecting the amount of bubbles.

FWIW, I've found the Lush products good at producing bubbles - epscailly when you've also used a bath bomb. Rather than going to the expense of a bath bomb, maybe you could try shoving in a teaspoon of bicarb of soda (since that is what bath bombs are made of)? (Never tried it myslef - but you never know!)
