Lots of kids round here have them and go flying round Tescos wearing them cos it has a nice shiny floor. Seem flippin' lethal to me!!!!

i hate the things. our supermarkets have banned them. watched a girl sing them the other day, then her feet went from under her and she fell, landing on her lower spine. she was in alot of pain and had to see 1st aider.

skates are ok cos at least you can balance but these things are so easy to fall off

Aloveheart · 17/03/2007 10:11

My dd has them, they are brilliant i think.

DumbledoresGirl · 17/03/2007 10:11

So would roller blades be a better idea?

www.rawk.com for online purchases

EllieK · 17/03/2007 19:22

depends what you want them for, if it's for fashion then it'll have to be heelies, if it's for something to do skating on i'd try to persuade her to have blades

pinkchampagne · 17/03/2007 19:35

Nursery and toys website have them for £30.

DumbledoresGirl · 17/03/2007 19:41

I think I have decided against them now. I was shocked they cost as much as they did and, although she wasn't against the idea, it wasn't as if she positively asked for them. Whereas she has been going on about getting a pogo stick since before Christmas, so I think purely on the basis of giving her what she wants rather than what I want her to have, the pogo stick wins.

sounds like a good idea to me
