Can anyone help me choose new scooters for my dds ?

My dds are 7 & 9 and I want to get them a 2 wheeler scooter each to play out on. We've never had one before, so I don't know what's best to get and what are the advantages/disadvantages of certain models. Any advice very welcome!

Got DS one of these last year just before he was 6. Great value, very light and if it could work out how to fold it up - very easy to pop in the back of the car etc. I liked this one because the wheels seem to be slightly bigger than some i've seen - handy when scooting over uneven paving slabs etc!

I would go for the same one. There are more expensive ones that have flashing lights but that one is a good basic model.

grrr... dh has just added his comment

"they're not likely to be quality ones for that price are they?"

I said, I just want them for playing out. No need for anything fancy, and will probably get bashed around, left lying about anyway..

my ds has the same but with the flahing lights and he loves it , them ones have 2 small wheels at the back but same as others its great and still going stronge

dd2 has that one. so cheap we can leave it at nursery in the bike shed unlocked. dd1 new one was more expensive and is easier to fold. aside from that they are almost identicial.

Brilliant, that's what we want I think. Something that does the job, doesn't fall apart in the first five minutes (like our strap-on heelie wheelies did) and won't get nicked if we leave them about.

I've just had a thought, my dd1 (9)is quite tall and the Argos one for £9.99 is only 70cm or so tall. Wondered if there is a taller one a bit more suitable for her. (Think the Argos £9.99 will be perfect for dd2 tho )

Thanks for your help everyone!
