Buggy & Handluggage bag for solo trip to NZ with 10.5 month g

Hi everyone, I am heading to NZ end of the month to see family with my little girl. We are flying alone (yes I know I am mad) and it will take 48 hours door to door. I am desperately trying to find a good lightweight buggy thats easy to collapse as I will be holding Missy as I try to do it. Other things that I thought were important : Manoeverability, lying flat, shopping basket or room for a bag, with raincover - that can handle wind, place to attach toys, travel bag. OK so its a long list! Buggies that look like they might work but all with pros & cons: Micralite, Quinny Zapp, Mamas & Papas - I think its Pulse, Maclaren Techno XT. None seem perfect. I have looked at the XT but I'm 5 ft 3 and the handles seemed pretty high even on lowest setting. Also didn't seem that easy to collapse. Also working out what hand luggage to take (ie to put stuff in). Was thinking of a bush baby carrier but not sure if the airline would let me take it on board the plane. Any suggestions, feedback much appreciated I am starting to get worried now! Thanks a mill
PS I don't want to end up with a buggy collection so this will be the last buggy I am intending on buying (hopefully!)

Bump
(Cos I'm flying to Singapore at the end of the month and need some tips on buggy and handluggage too)

The Triumph is lighter and cheaper than the XT and still reclines (though not absolutely flat), and I'd go for this over the Pulse if you wanted a trad umbrella type.
The Zapp doesn't recline at all and has no basket so I'd strike that off the list.
No experience of the Micralite but it does look nippy, althiough only has a very limited recline.

You can gatecheck the buggy or may even get away with carrying it on - check with the airline.
If you can't carry it on, think about a sling (less bulky than the bushbaby) that you can whip out during transfers.

Not sure what to suggest re hand luggage - a backpack sounds sensible but might eb a pain with a sling. Perhaps one of those cool bags that has rucksack straps and a wheely towing handle?

Thanks, had thought about a towing thing but that won't work when I am pushing buggy too. I might be being thick but what was the cool bag with rucksack straps you mentioned?

like this
goes on your back when pushing pushchair, tow it when you're wearing the sling.

Mrs Badger - that looks like a great option, thanks hadnt seen these before!

there are loads of cheaper ones out there, that was just the first I found

the kids near me have them for school

Dont have experience of a Micralite although you can fold them with one hand, they recline and you can buy a travel bag for it.
Dont buy a Mamas & Papas Pulse I have one and I loathe it, really hard to steer one handed and quite a pain to fold considering its just a small buggy!
Good luck you brave woman!!

Thanks all, Another netmum has just suggested a GRACO Citisport might fit the bill so will look at that too.
