Which bed rail/guard to get for single bed?

DS going into single bed soon. Which bed rail/guard is best. I've seen picture of foldable Baby Dan one with mesh sides - is it any good or are others better? It'd be useful to have a portable one.

I,ve got the babydan one and its great. Also folds down to half size when not in use, so can be stored until next time required or taken with you if you are sleeping soemwhere eles

I'm afraid I am a mean mummy!
When DD went into a bed I did not use a guard, as I figured she would have to then learn that it wasn't there at a later stage, IYSWIM. So, we put a pillow or two alongside her at the edge of the bed to stop her from actually fallinf, then reduced this to one nad then nothing. She has only fallen out a couple of times, also never had to worry when we went away.

Cupholder? Like dashboard of a ford mondeo? .

Sorry, couldn't resist! I was actually going to ask if anyone thought that they would be necessary for a 22 month old child. DS never had one and never fell out but dd is going into bed at a slightly younger age and I am a bit worried that she will fall.

Careful whichever one you decide to get if you have a pine slatted based bed. DD had a tomy one which was fine, but only just fitted with the supports on two slats. If you jiffled too much it would slip through.
