Does anyone know the name of that very groovy storage system thing that is basically a big piece of moulded plastic to go on a wall with lots of little pckets and sleeves to put stuff in?Designed in the 60s,picture of it in yesterday's Telegraph magazine.

I think I know what you mean -have seen it in interiors magazines before - if no-one here knows I will have a look through my vast collection of magazines and try to find it....

moondog · 04/03/2007 10:25

Thanks K.
I did save the name of it ages ago, then forgot all about it.
Bugger, have extreme urge to buy the blighter now!
If no luck, will phone some ridiculous design emporium staffed by humourless heavy spectacle wearing haemaphrodites with names like Jared and Yolande.

V welcome, have a good memory for interiors trivia (also my job....)
It's expensive yes but prob v useful in containing the mad clutter of little bits and pieces

moondog · 04/03/2007 10:41

Brilliant.
Just ordered meself one.
Can justify it now back at work.

The price of this is still haunting me How many days later...Im Mrs Meldrew!!!!!!!!!!

chopchopbusybusy · 06/03/2007 11:07

Hmmm... Yes I can see it could be useful but I agree Charliecat it is really overpriced. Once Ikea get hold of the idea they will be churning them out for a fiver - so I'll wait

moondog · 06/03/2007 21:50

pwml Charlie.
It depends on what floats yer boat I reckon.
The thought of it is thrilling me.

Believe me though,my house is full of second hand stuff I have got for next to nowt so I can fully justify the odd self indulgence.

I agree, its a great piece of modern design and its good to support proper designers rather than IKEA who rip off ideas and sell 'em cheap. Am sure they won't get to copy this though, as it is surely patented and a very specific design. Hope you enjoy it moondog and dont feel guilty, good design is def worth paying for...
