looking good f&z, do you have a different coloured one for each outfit?

peegeeweegee · 21/02/2007 08:10

Argh, I cannot say how tempted I am!

But, I think you need to be a trendy young thing to carry it off - being nearly 40, overweight and plain looking with a shopping trolley will just not be a good look... sigh..

I have the Rolser cow print one. It is very funky. Round here you are nothing without a shopping trolley (central london) and even my husband pulls it at the farmer's market at the weekend.

dueat44 · 21/02/2007 11:45

I bought my mum one and she refused to use it - she didn't want to look like 'an old woman'. Bless her - she was well over 70.

Lakeland do a quite funky collapsible plastic trolley v reasonably priced.

LoveMyGirls · 21/02/2007 11:53

brilliant idea i got one for when i went away with the girls and i used it when i went to a couple of festivals then it was just sat in my attic so i sold it at car boot when i was clearing out my attic last year (see my unreasonable thread ) and now i wish i hadn't got rid of it. Oh well dp wants to go to redding this year so theres my chance to get another one so i'll be keeping an eye out for funky ones!!!

LoveMyGirls · 21/02/2007 11:53

oh im 25 btw

LoveMyGirls · 21/02/2007 11:55

Now im over 25 i don't have to care what people think right?

expatmama · 21/02/2007 11:55

I had one when I lived in Belgium for getting shopping home from the supermarket. Bought it the UK though on a weekend trip - had to take it back to Brussels on the Eurostar - did get more than a few funny looks as people thought it was my luggage

LoveMyGirls · 21/02/2007 11:56

actually i don't care so im going to get one and im going to customise it and make it funky instead of paying £50 !!!

Mimie2403 · 21/02/2007 12:01

We lived in Paris for a couple of years and bought one there for the supermarket shop. They're very popular in France for all ages! Too embarrassed to use it back in London though and it stood collecting mould in our shed for a couple of years before finally chucking it out last month. I've seen the funky ones and they are cool, might get one....

SoMuchToBits · 21/02/2007 12:05

You're not a saddo F & Z - I've had one for years. If you don't drive (like me) how else do you manage to get all your shopping home without doing your back in? It makes sense to use a trolley. Mine's green btw...

JARM · 21/02/2007 12:10

my mum had a trolley because we didnt have a car, i remember the days of WANTING to pull it to the shops!

I think when im finally out of buggy days, i may consider it!

admylin · 21/02/2007 12:27

I've got one here in germany. There are some quite trendy nice ones available! Used my pram for ages and missed it when dc got too old, couldn't manage without mine now. Keep trying to talk my mum and sister to get one back home but they still think it's an old lady thing and are too worried about what people think.
