depending on regional variations about £1500 to £1800 fully fitted

this is based on approximates of
£600 for boiler
£60 for flue
and then the rest is labour for fitting which oviously varies greatly depending on where ytou live and if you get some cowboy who think he can get away with charging too much or not

where do you live??

TrinityRhino · 19/02/2007 23:19

labour costs or fitting gas boilers are quite expensive anyway because of the need for corgi registration and such

We are in the south east junction 8 of the M25, would probably be inclined to go for british gas or someone like that so hopefully avoid the jack of all trades!

Personally, I'd avoid British Gas and go for a local (but well-regarded) company. If they are Corgi registered they should be fine.

We had a gas combi boiler fitted in our old house (1 bathroom, 2 beds) in Feb 2004 and it cost us around £1500. That was in St Albans. British Gas quoted us £3500 to do the same job.

TR - thanks again for the boiler advice the other day. The boiler is working beautifully now.
