I do get a wee bit confused when i check out all the differrent smoothie makers / juicers/blenders ect .
I would really like to have a go at making smoothies for us but dont want to spend a lot.
Can you puree raw veg in them too or is that something different ?

Smoothie makers are a stonking great waste of time and money. (Also, with the taps and all, they look pretty hard to clean.) I'd strongly recommend a wand blender - I'm happy with my Braun wand blender, and use it to make smoothies, soups, mash, etc etc.

You can puree raw veg in them, to make something like gazpatcho, but you can't make carrot juice, for example, as that requires a juicer, which has a way to remove the pulp, iyswim.

where are you mooshy? i have one on top of my fridge that has not been used for at least 6 months! i am near Warrington in the North West.

I was going to say the same as NQC

You don't need a smoothie maker, jsut a hand blender.

Just chuck your fruit, juice, yoghurt, whatever in a jug and blend - voila!

i have just checked, we have the kenwood concert smoothie maker, it is on the website for £27.99 in the sale. (mine was £39.99). i would like £15 for ours plus p&p. Would it not be worth buying a new one?

I'll leave it with you x

I got a food processer with a blender attachment - i use the blender and the food processor all the time for other stuff, but the blender is great for smoothies, and the processor has attachments for juicing, mixing, grating, whipping, slicing etc etc. Great if you do alot of cooking: I can't do links, but it is this on Amazon: FP533 Three Speed Food Processor 2.9ltr 800w (Chrome)
£69.99
see:

Otherwise as others have said just buy a blender!
