A mirror for a baby to play with. Are there such things?

Or have I imagined them? My DS2 loves to look at himself so I want a mirror for him to play about with. But just a mirror, not a mirror as part of something else, IYSWIM. And I didn't think I should give him an ordinary mirror!!! So can you get them specially for babies, or am I going mad?!

yes you can

ds has one as part of a soft book and one as part of a toy

I had a mirror toy from the company Tiny Love that you could either hang from the side of the cot, or prop up or lay flat. I can't remember if I got it in the States or if I got it at John Lewis (it's been a while!). I would check out their website

I've got a large one in a padded frame you can tie it to the side of the cot?

BettySpaghetti · 10/02/2007 22:16

We had a Tommee Tippee mirror in a face-shaped rattle for DS. I think we bought it from Tesco or Waitrose (in the section that sells bibs, weaning spoons and the odd toy).

Also we have a bath mirror from Boots. Its fish shaped, the frame is made from a type of foam and the mirror is a flexible plastic. Only problem is a baby might try and bite chunks out of the foam -I think it had some ridiculous recommended age like 3+ but DS 2 is fine with it.

Mmmmmm.......

We have a little mirror in a book, and various sizes on other toys, but I really wanted just a mirror for him to hold himself.
