Thinking ahead to if/when we move would like to install a wooden play system suitable fro our 5 and almost 9 yr old to last a good few years. Thinking of something along the lines of this with a tower, slide, climbing wall section, not so sure of monkey bars. Anyone got one they would recommend please ?

It might be worth looking into getting a carpenter to build one -not cheap, but then again neither are these bought ones once you get all the parts you want.

DP has recently built one for a customer. They bought the clamber net, climbing bracket-type things etc from a supplier like TPToys and then designed what their children wanted and DP built it to their specifications.

Mine are 11 & 13. Still use swings and climbing frame but haven't really bothered with the slide for ages.
We've got a TP toys swing frame with the 'pirate boat' attachment, which they've had since they were 0.5 & 2 and has been the best thing ever.
We have a separate climbing frame, which was well used till acouple of years ago but ds1 very rarely uses it now - and then only as a 'prop' in a game - eg it can be an army base with a tarpaulin thrown over it.
They also very much enjoy trampolines and zip wires at friends' houses.
Trapeze bars & 'twizzlers' total waste of money imo.
Mine have also got a 'monkey swing' - a seat dangling in the end of a single rope tied to a tree branch. That's been good fun.

I know a few people who have got something similar from Costco - probably cheaper than TP
