travel case for baby wipes

does anyone know where I could find something suitable to full with wipes for my changing bag. Have rung the Pampers line and they have stopped their promotion now so no joy there and.. it really sticks in my throat paying the same price for a tiny slim pack as a full size one. Surely most people feel the same and I find it unbelievable that you can buy everything under the sun for babies ie. wipe warmers! and nothing this practical.

Think I might still have my pampers one and we don't use it anymore. I'll check later when I get home if you like? If it's there you can have it with pleasure

lulumama · 07/02/2007 14:11

i got a mini changing thing that came with a box for little packs of wipes..will try and find out what brand it is....i still use it you see...but it was not expensive

it is a fold out changing mat with two pockets for wipes and a nappy or two

MrsBadger · 07/02/2007 14:12

ziplock freezer bags for me...

themoon66 · 07/02/2007 14:15

How strange. When DD was a baby 20 years ago you could buy little snappy boxes with six wipes in. Refillable from the big pack obviously. I got one in my bounty bag. They were like a large version of a powder compact.

oliveoil · 07/02/2007 14:16

why can't you put a full size one in the bag?

themoon66 · 07/02/2007 14:16

Don't tupperware or Lakeland do a similar thing for sandwiches that you could use?

bran · 07/02/2007 14:17

When the normal sized pack that I use at home is about three quarters finished I start off a new pack and keep the nearly finished one to take out with me. Ziploc freezer bags are a great idea though, thanks for the idea Mrs Badger.

DizzyBint · 07/02/2007 14:18

i just keep an emtpyish pack in my changing bag to keep the bag light. so at home we have a pack upstairs and a pack downstairs, as they get emptier i just swap them into the changing bag if that makes sense. i don't bother with a box or bag for them especially, the resealable patch thingy works ok.

I have a spare one. I had a Pampers one, and preferred it to the black (or maybe blue?) one that came with my changing bag thingy. You can have it for free if you're in the UK and you're happy to put your email address on here so I can contact you for your address. It's never been used.

shonaspurtle · 07/02/2007 14:31

I use one of those lock & lock boxes from Lakeland.

thanks so much to everyone for your replies and inparticular to those who offered to send me theirs. I am very grateful but I have just ordered the ones from e-bay, (my sister can have the other one). Another job done so now I'd best get back to my HUGE pile of ironing...

Ziplock freezer bags are great for the job. My dd is 51/2 and I still carry wipes in my handbag. Don't used them much so only about 10-15 wipes in bag, but in the ziplock bag they don't dry out.

daisynut · 09/02/2007 13:50

I have a huggies one you can have if you like, failing that I just use those small packets of pampers about 24 in a pack more than enough for us these day.

daisynut · 09/02/2007 13:50

in fact pretty sure i've got a pampers one as well.

jellybellie · 09/02/2007 13:54

jojomamanbebe have got one in their latest catalogue - £4 I think

flightattendant · 14/08/2007 13:32

Scottishmummy, are you still selling your fleurville?

PestoMonster · 14/08/2007 13:34

I used to use an old plastic video case.
You must be able to get your hands on one of these?
