Silver Cross 3D. Any opinions?

I can't decide between getting a big 'proper' pram (although not quite coach built) or one of the umbrella-fold ones (eg. Pramette, Bebecar, RVersus)

Saw the silver cross in Mothercare yesterday and it's very light.

Ceolas - I don't have one myself but a friend of mine does. She loves it. Although she only bought it once her LO was six months old so she never used it as a pram. There is a lot to be said for an umbrella folding pram. We have a bugaboo which is very light but remains pretty big when collapsed. You also have to take the seat off to collapse it. For this reason I have also bought a Loola because it folds down so small. Its heavier but much more convenient as it takes up much less space and stays in one piece.

Don't know if that's much help but it'll bump your thread a little bit if not! Good luck with deciding

Thanks bristols. It will be for baby number 4 () so I quite like the idea of just having to buy one pram.

Do you need the carrycot to make the Lool a a pram?

If the 3d is the one that looks similar to the M&P pramette I think it would be very good - the pramette has won pushchair of the year a few times - says it all. Rear facing for the early months then forward facing etc. Will do you for either the whole of toddler hood or until you really want a lightweight buggy. HTH

I've bought one and baby will hopefully be in it next week (gulp).
The matress thingy is really padded, much more than I expected it to be and I can't wait to use it.
my only complaint so far is that the ventura cat seat was too big for the seat belts in my car.
I really like the idea that it reclines flat when it is a normal buggy too, although not rear facing as a buggy
I got mine from kiddiecare. They had the best prices and it was great delivery.
I got these responses on an old thread

I'm not desparate on the fabrics though. I love Silver Cross' Salsa but they don't do the 3D in this

I liked the black one in mothercare but there were several threads on here about their terrible delivery. I went for the marina one in the end. It's actually very nice. I didn't like the green and felt the apollo was nice but would get dirty easily.

Yes, you need to buy tghe carry cot separately for the Loola. I also love the fact that you can have the pushchair rear facing. Very unusual in the world of pushchairs!!

Congrats on baby number four. Am currently trying to convince DH that four LOs is the way to go...
