Thinking of replacing my ancient Toyota corolla

What with?
Love toyotas. I think they are immensely reliable cars.
This will be a second hand car.
Will be looking at something 5 years old. Mine is 15.
The Yaris and Aygo are too small.
Dh has an auris ...I don't love it. I drive it and it's a nice drive but I think you get moved about a lot.

I like a medium sized car and I really , really want a Toyota.
Wondering about an avensis.

Or a Kia ceed.
Mines going well, it just feels really heavy compared to the auris. It doesn't have air con, electric Windows or a CD player but she's a grand old girl.

Auris is a good, safe, family car but it's boring. It doesn't have the same appeal as the Corolla and definitely doesn't have the acceleration! I used to love how nippy the Corolla was on start off - not saying I sped everthere, just that it was lovely to drive.

Been through every model on autotrader for Toyota.

I think we need to start a campaign to bring back the Corolla.
There's small and large and not a lot in the middle

Agree about the acceleration with the Corolla .

Another one for a Honda Jazz. Small car so easy to park etc but like a bloody tardis inside.

I suppose they have a bit of reputation as an old persons car so you'll get people pulling stupid moves to try and overtake you. Apparently they're cool in Thailand though!!

I am an old person lol
Will look at the Jazz.
Sil had a civic that went on for ever.

I got a big Christmas tree into my Jazz plus it easily absorbs a tall teen, electric guitar plus lab size dog in the morning with room to spare for 2 more passengers if needs be.

It reminds me very much of our Corolla which in the 6 years we had it needed nothing other than tyres, service, MOT and an exhaust. We've had the Jazz for close on 5 years and it has only needed tyres, MOT and service so far.

Our Corolla Verso on the other hand has been a huge disappointment needing a new dual mass fly wheel (£1800), has had 2 sets of glo plugs plus currently has one broken off in it, needed some part which cost £2.29 but over £100 in labour just so we could put diesel in it, brake pipes needing welding. So disappointed in it, not at all what we expected from Toyota, I think it is a bit of a lemon.

Wow mirabelle. That's expensive
Will Defoe look at the jazz
