Which luggage is best?

Need some new luggage for work. Would like medium sized, hard shell with 4 wheels.

Any of you regular travellers have a recommendation? I have a few from TK Maxx at moment, not the big brands and none have lasted more than one trip.

I have looked at a Delsey one? Any opinions?

TIA

My husband travels at lot with work, I used to before kids, I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't Samsonite or Antler, don't know why just what I know works...they last forever and don't fall appart. Never tried Delsey

beware of hard cases- they are v heavy, even empty, so take up lots of your baggage allowance. delsey is fab tho.

People here swear by Briggs and Riley as the hardest wearing travel luggage around. Lifetime warranty. Here's a UK stockist for you. \linkwww.bagsdirect.com/Catalogue/ManufacturerHomePage.aspx?ManufacturerID=17&OVRAW=briggs%20and%20riley&OVKEY=riley&OVMTC=advanced\bagsdirect}

Let's try that link again bagdirect

I had an Antler one and it's really not been that great (hardshell not hard enough to withstand airport luggage handlers). Will only be buying Samsonite from now on.

We splashed out on Samsonite for our trip to Zim last year - they got a lot of bashing on the flights (we had connecting flights) and a lot of bashing from the amount of times they were thrown in the back of the car we'd hired - and they're still looked fine

Thanks for those everyone. I will take a look at the Brigg and Riley stuff - I have not heard of them before.

Any more?

After a recommendation me and DW use Dakine 60/40 convertable roller bag. It's a snowboard company, but don't let that put you off.

You can find it at Snow & Rock . It is utterly indestructible (has wheels and trucks off of rollerblades), holds an enormous amount of stuff (90 litres) and has split mesh compartments inside to seperate all your stuff. They do a smaller version which I use for business trips.

Otherwise, as other people have said, Samsonite are very good. But I have travelled to Australia, America and numerous skiing trips with my Dakine and it has yet to break.

Thanks MR Shev - I do like the look of that one. Looks like it could manage 2 weeks of business kit. I really wanted one with 4 wheels for easy manouvering, so will keep looking a while longer, but may come back to this.

Thanks for all suggestions.
