Moutain Buggy Breeze

Does anybody have a mountain buggy breeze? If so, are they any good on public transport? Easy to fold with one hand? Pros/cons?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Driving myself crazy looking for the "perfect" buggy!

I don't have a breeze, but I do have a Mountain buggy and I think that the folding mechanism is the same - you need two hands to do it.
Our buses have the slots at the front for pushchairs so there is no need to fold. I take it that's not the case where you are?

Thanks Winestein. Where I am the buses have loads of room for pushchairs but they only have a narrow entrance with stairs so the pushchair has to be folded down to get on. Back to researching then.

I would have thought anything too narrow to get a mountain buggy down would be against health and safety regs for public transport.
Have you seen people having to fold pushchairs down, or are you imagining you would have to?
To be honest, I would only buy a 3 wheeler if you have a specific need for one (dog walking/walking/country lanes) as they are mahoooosive in town. A big drawback is getting to the end of an aisle in a shop and being trapped in by a display, and I can't get through the tills at my local Wilko! Now my son is older, if I do ever need to go into the City I take a tiny buggy (this decision also helped by the fact that the buggy is always caked in mud at this time of year and the pram basket has been recently ripped half off by a fallen branch! )

Hmmm. I don't think they have health and safety here for buses. As long as the bus has wheels and can move I think they're happy.
I did read somewhere that the Breeze is shorter than most 3 wheelers. I'd really like something that's all terrain as all the pavements are paved - that sounds daft - and something with good wheels will mean a smoother ride for the LO. Plus it would be handy for the park.

Lol about your buses
I think that that the Breeze has a more compact frame. You do get what you pay for with pushchairs and Mountain Buggies are extremely well engineered/manufactured and you do get an extremely smooth ride. My mum could not believe how such a vast pushchair could be so easay to push, and suddenly realised why I wanted to spend £360 on a pushchair instead of £50 (or whatever it was) like my brother had done.

IMO a mountian buggy single is by far the best single all terraine buggy you can buy.

I know of loads of mouantain buggies who have gone through 3 children and that seem to have enough wear in them to last for another 3 children!

My current afmily have a moubatin buggy that is now 6 years old... has been used constantly over this time (ok not so much for the past year actually) and has been "properly" used... live in middle of nowhere, beach at back of garden... we walk through woods, over a field, we climb down a tree, and the buggy is sort of dropped off a ledge (about 3ft) down to the beach underneath, then goes along the stoney beach... this is an almost daily occurance on a dog walk... for 3 years a buggy board was attached as well.

This pushachair is pretty much as good as the day it weas bought... except for the muddy from wellies over the seat bit etc

Seoulmum- Are you from Korea, by any chance?

Seoulmum · 29/01/2007 01:49

Hi
Not from Korea, just live here. That's why it's so tricky finding a pushchair - hard to do solely on-line and not in person.
