Best Cake tins?

need to get some new cake/pie tins... have thought about mermaid tins but these are horribley expensive... and have been looking at silverwood tins... don't really want anything standard non stick... as i always find these scratch and are not as robust as your hard anodised stuff...

what do you all think!... AND,,, which is the best online cookshop! - and cheapest!!! ta!

Hmmm... You probably won't like this, but I do think you get what you pay for. I enjoy making cakes, and have always made a lot ... and got through a lot of cake tins. Then I bought two sets of horribly expensive mermaid tins from Lakeland about 5 - 8 yrs ago, possibly longer. During that time I've made countless cakes, at least one a week ... and the cake tins are still in superb condition ... and the resulting cakes are better too.

And Lakeland is definitely the best online cookshop - products are top quality, and customer service is excellent ... but it's certainly not the cheapest.

roisin - i think you maybe right there as have been hovering over lakeland for the last week looking at the mermaid tins...

i think it maybe an online shopping trip for me!
