You all remeber the fuss I made about having to call on people to help me out when PG?? well, now that the whole thing is done and dusted I want to buy my friend soemthing for coming over to mind the boys for us when we wentto hospital.

I called her a 12:30am and she was here literally within 10 minutes (I'm sure she must have been sleeping outside my house in in her clothes)
She didn't get home again until gone 3am and she has 3 young boys herself so her whole day would ahve been knackering after that.

I was going to get her some flowers delivered but she cameover to us when we got home armed with flowers, chocolates and an outfit for DS4. I really wantto get her somethjing that shows how grateful I am but I just can;t think what....

Please help.....

melsy · 19/01/2007 21:13

How much can you spend ?,I know not very original , but may be some beauty treatment vouchers or take her out for a meal ?

Posey · 19/01/2007 21:13

Could you get her a facial/manicure/pedicure/massage? Would she like a little pampering session?

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 21:21

Around £30-£40.....

Not sure if there is anywhere in town that does treatmenty type stuff...i like that idea so thats really annoying!!

Oh Champagne. A decent bottle, people are usually very grateful for it and v rarely offended ime. As long as you know she's not teetotal. It's classy and shows how grateful you are imo.

oliveoil · 19/01/2007 21:24

ooh hello, how is George doing?

WideWebWitch · 19/01/2007 21:24

And it's celebratory yet easy to buy.

JackieNo · 19/01/2007 21:26

I know she brought you chocolates, but Hotel Chocolat is always good. Or something from somewhere like Jo Malone ?

melsy · 19/01/2007 21:33

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 21:35

He's FAB olive. We were looking a photos of the older one earlier and he's a carbon copy of ds1+3 as newborns, Ds3 especially.

Sleeping like...umm...a baby funnily enough and feeding really well.
I managed to express almost 3oz of norkage milk today. It's never worked before so I'm feeling very bloody pleased with my slef

www, She's not tee total, although I pretty much am. I wouldn't ahve the faintest idea which was a good bottle and which was fizzy pop TBH

Will look at those links jackie, thansk.

usandnosleep · 19/01/2007 21:43

Congratulations by the way

Whizzz · 19/01/2007 21:43

WideWebWitch · 19/01/2007 21:49

Nobody was ever offended by a bottle of Bollinger LTH!

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 21:50

I think we'd both fall asleep BH, her boys aren't very good sleepers.

I had extremely good Next door neighbours, whom I wanted to do something special for (same reasons)

I did a basket, put a book, funny bubble bath, bottle of vod for her, whisky for him, some biscuits, chocs. Got the basket from a charity shop cellophane from the florist etc. They loved it, but thought it was too much.
