Jane Indy Plus carseat with ISOFIX

I am in need of a next stage seat for DS soon as his head is just above the top of his Duo plus ISOFIX.

I can only find the Jane Indy with 5 point harness and IOFIX in the bracket. Are there any others and is the Jane Indy any good?

What bracket are you looking for?

I have the Jane IndyPlus. It has Isofix but does not have a 5-point harness. It is a booster seat with a back and uses the car seat belt. The Isofix makes it a bit more secure, and means you can recline it.

other car seats without isofix such as the maxi cosi rodi actually score safer in the which independant crash tests...

the jane indyplus isofix is NOT recommended by which?, where as the maxi cosi rodi, and the britax evolva 2-3 are recommended and safer for the child in the event of a crash!

Agree the Indyplus is 15kg plus seast, but a high back booster without harness. The adult belt secures the child. Britax are launching this Evolva seat in the same category and there is a Recaro isofix model I think. However Which ? didn't think the Indy was any safer than a non Isofix high back booster, such as the Maxi Cosi Rodi, Britax HiLiner or Concord Lift, as it was not also fixed to the seat at the back rest but cost significantly more.

I have two Isofix Jane seats. They are actually really good in RL (IME), very stable and don't budge in the car. And they do come apart which is good for travelling.

However they didn't do as well as some non-Isofix seats in the recent Which tests (first time tested). They weren't in the "not recommended/don't buy" range (a bit unclear in other poster's message) but they weren't one of their top "recommended/best buys" type range either.

We also have a Britax HiLiner which scores well in Which normally. This does move about more int he car than the Jane I have to say, and doesn't seem as sturdy. But it does come out as safer as the Jane.

sorry it is the team plus.
at least it was but it seems I was mislead and it hasn't got 5 point harness.

I need a stage 2 seat. Is a 2.4 year old ok with a seat belt?

I guess it'll hav eot be one with 5 point harness but not ISOFIX which is a shame because I dont like the way seats move with just the seat belt holding them.

Has he really outgrown the other one ? It should go up to 18kg and he is opk untilt he top is level with his ears. Personally I'd agree that at 2 he is too little to just use an adult setabelt. The Evolva 123 Ultra is non Isofix but has a harness and the seat is larger than other Stage 1's as it converts to a high back booster later on.

His head is above the seat and in about 2 cms his ears will be too.
I guess I just have to get one without ISOFIX
