We use them as napkins and have been sticking them in the compost but since finding a rat out there, they've been ending up in the bin. I'm looking for a big stack of easily washable napkins, not white, ideally in some nice basic cotton that doesn't cost a fortune.
Does anyone have any ideas where I might find some? I seem to remember one of the children's catalogues had something similar once, but can't remember which one.
thanks in advance.

Ikea. Cheap as chips! Can't remember how much, but remember thinking that if I didn't have plenty already, I would have bought some!

call the environmental health

how does not using kitchen roll stop rats?

I looked for napkins a while ago and found john lewis had the best selection.Have you tried ebay?
I ended up getting a load from an antique shop for a fiver, they were white though.

Thanks for these suggestions.

Cappuccino, no need to call EH to be honest as they are quite common in compost heaps, albeit undesirable. We have a superhuge garden so it's not near the house. But I do want to discourage the little critter.
They are drawn to cooked food smells, so if you wipe grotty faces after a meal and then put the cloth out there, it might attract them.

IKEA sound good, but I was hoping for online. Think I'll try eBay.
thanks for helping.

How about this site - 75p for a napkin?

MrsBadger · 08/01/2007 11:14

My everyday napkins are the 'Natural' ones from Woolworths here - currently £2.50 for 4!

Jackie - pretty good value these. Ideally looking for off white, but these are defo an option.
