maybe too late now but did go for tea at the Dorchester with my bestest friend about 5 years ago now and it was lovely... i did the smae thing as someone else mentioned and scoffed so many sandwiches (desperate to get my moneys worth) that by the time the lovely cakes came i could only manage about 2 teeny cakes...

lovely! and plan to do it agin sometime when i'm not laden down with toddlers!

(we weren't dressed posh! and lots of normal looking people there... yet still felt like a very posh thing to do!... piano playing made it feel very civilised!!!)

ooh I had ex bf who was an architect and did all the bathrooms when they re-did the Dorchester. Did you see any bathrooms? Were they nice?

ha! ha! i was going to include in my post that the toilets were very nice and clean (something i always like to see when out and about!) very hotelish... but nice all the same... very fitting with the dorchester!!!

I think the Waldorf still does tea dances on some afternoons - would the Codfather prefer that?

I took my mum to the Ritz for tea for her 70th - she loved it. Great for people watching!

CountessDracula · 27/05/2004 12:00

Oh don't be silly you hick feeling types. ffs you don't live in London so why would you go to these places? I don't go to the Yokelhampton Olde Tractore Fayre cos I don't live in t'country. Simple as that.
