comfy chair to nurse in

Have just move dd into own room. When she was in our room I would just feed her sitting up in bed overnight which was comfy. The last 2 nights I have used 1 of our kitchen chairs and even with a cushion my back is killing me! I've previously thought that nursing chairs were a waste of time but I seriously need to get something before I end up as a cripple. Can anyone recommend anything comfy and not too expensive? Thanks.

Have a look for a second hand one.
I bought an old leather chair from my local paper. It cost £10. It looked like a leather arm chair but it rocked gently. I used it alot through my pregnancy too, very comfy. I had to sell it in the end as I live in a small terrace house and ran out of room now ds has all his toys!

I got a hauck glider chair on kiddicare.co.uk for gpb 100 - a fifth the orice of others abd it was a godsend.

We have one of these in ds' room, but the arms are too low for feeding a little one. You could improvise with some cushions though.

We've also got some chairs a bit like this - fabulously comfortable but not exactly cheap as chips.

We have 2 of the Ikea ones and with a footrest they are brilliantly comfortable to sit in but not sure about the armrests for nursing. I have a Dutailler rocking chair, also with footrest, which is designed for bfing & highly recommended. Am now using it to read dc bedtime stories. Tribot's not cheap as chips chair looks heavenly, tho.

I got a 2nd hand rocker/glider off ebay for about £40. It is worth looking in the standard furniture section, adding the word 'maternity' to a rocker/glider seemed to magically bump up the price.

I've always wondered how you get heavy things delivered with ebay. I mean, it must cost a bomb!

For heavy things it is generally 'Local Pick Up Only' - I guess it depends on where you live and how densely populated it is as to how likely it is that something will come up within a reasonable distance of where you live.
