We've got the Samsung side by side as well and so far so good (apart from having to have the water dispenser lever replaced, aparently it's a fault with them and has been replaced with a better one). I suppose the narrow freezer could be a problem but we don't buy much in the way of packaged frozen food and use it mostly for bread, packets of peas, fish fingers and homemade meals for freezing, don't suppose it would be suitable for great big pizzas etc.

The chilled water and ice is brilliant!

Oh just to add we would have bought the Maytag Zig Zag but just couldn't afford it but that's my dream fridge-freezer (that sounds really sad doesn't it?).

Yes I've got the Zig Zag in stainless steel which was enormously expensive but I love it and the wider bit on the bottom of the freezer means you can fit pizza's which our last smaller side by side didn't fit. I do have places where I can get good trade discounts so let me know when you are ready to buy CD and I'll sort you out the best price. What you really want to look at is the cubic volume of the freezer and fridge so that you can compare like with like. How much width and depth you have is obviously also relevant. The water/ice dispenser in the door is a must!

Thanks Sofia, will def. do that!

That zigzag one looks cool - I don't need a wider freezer though as never freeze anything wide! Think may go for a cheaper one like LG or someting

Harrods has a great showroom, they've got everything going on display. Just don't buy there as they are twice as expensive as everyone else.
