Decent saucepans???

Hello
The non stick is coming off my saucepans and I have decided that they are not big enough anyway. Can anyone recommend a good set of saucepans, perhaps one that is quite deep??
I am prepared to invest, but not stupid money ( I don't have it )
TIA

Oooh I have an almond Brabantia bin those would go with .
Actually that draining thing is a fab idea. I always lose half my peas or pasta.
Oh dear this is going to be harder than I thought.

Ah well, mine go with my stainless steel Brabantia bin...

Skylertnightholynight · 03/01/2007 19:34

Lol!
Actually I think I can rule those out as they are not as deep as I would like. My current pans are 8 cm deep. I want more! Marthamoo, would you measure your pans for me????

Skylertnightholynight · 03/01/2007 19:39

Frying pan is 6cm deep.
Milk pan is 7cm deep.
Then 10cm, 12 cm and 13 cm.

PMSL at your DH. Thank you. That really helps. That is the sort of size I want. Now I have to ponder if I can live without glass lids .
I have to pop out to a meeting now but will return.....
Anyone else any pans to recommend????
I like the ones I linked from ebay because of the 'free' extras, but wouldn't know which set to get. Any opinions??
DH has said I should just get two new saucepans not a set. He doesn't understand , this is actually quite exciting for me . When you use something everyday it should be good though!

I am mortified

my pans (almond) don't go with my brabantia bin (graphite)

how will I ever show my face again

why did no-one tell me the need to co-ordinate cookware to bin-age? huh?

Skylertnightholynight · 03/01/2007 19:53

LOL Twiglett. I cannot believe you didn't realise. Where have you BEEN You will know better for the future .

(My bin matches nothing in my kitchen, but I love it, so I got it...another thing used lots everyday so worth getting a nice one IMO )

My Dad has just told me they have induction hob version of the Meyer pans on ebay that I linked to. I do like their pans.....and they have the glass lid.
Does anyone else have Meyer Anolon pans?

Skyler · 04/01/2007 16:17

Marthamoo - Your pans scored 92/100 in the GHI tests! They really are as good as you say .
