Hair Curlers

What hair curlers do people recommend? I ideally want to have big loose curls & have no idea what kind of tong/curler will do the job!

Any advice of what's good or bad would be appreciated.

Thanks

i do mine with heated rollers, plug them in and let them get hot, roll hair up carry in getting ready and then whip them out when you are ready or when they are cold, i have slightly naturally curly hair so i tend to do mine in the afternoon so that the curl drops slightly by the time i am going out. or buy sponge rollers and put them in overnight.

i second heated rollers too, much quicker than tongs and easy to get the hang of. use some sort of setting lotion is your hair is fine, ooh i love to do curls

my hairdresser showed me how to achieve natural loose curls using a straightner, which i already had. takes a bit of practice, but result is smooth and not too curly. she coudn't recommend any of the curlers you can buy; and once you get the hang of wrapping sections of hair round the straightner, it's much easier.

Thanks all. Am not likely to do it that often as I think it'll take ages so don't really want to spend a fortune on some but don't know anything about such things!

When I'd had a ball hair do done the
hairdresser used tons of hairspray & straighteners to curl it.

My hair is quite thick & poker straight so would have to do it in small sections me thinks & with a lot of patience.
