We bought Ds one for Christmas and have put it together but can't seem to get it to spin.I may be wrong, but I thought that when the top disc was turned it would spin the bottom one that you sit on.Sorry for being really dense but does anyone know please? It's the "Simon Says" Playskool one,if that helps.

TIA.

I don't know if it's the same thing but we had one of those a couple of years ago and nothing spun by itself. It took the weight of the child sitting on it and leaning slightly to the side that makes it work with a bit of feet shuffling. Hope that helps. Its very deceiving because I don't think it's clear on the instructions that it doesn't actually go round by itself.

How old is he?

we had one a few years ago for my 3 year old

she could do it after a few tries but there is a technique. May take quite a few goes

they can go quite fast when they get the hang of it, mine enjoyed it

It is very hard to explain, you kind of pull the handle round, the handle doesnt move, but you pulling on it makes the seat move

You know like on the tea cups ride????? You sit there, you don't move but you pull on the handle and it makes you turn (if you have been on a tea cup ride at a fairground you will know what I mean!!)

Hope that helps!

Wonderful-I think I understand now.The instructions are useless and don't even mention spinning!

It says on the box from age 18 months-5 years and ds is only 18 months so it might be better once he's a little older, but he loves the Fisher Price one at the toddler group we go to and can manage a "sort of" spin.

Thanks again-much appreciated.

Brilliant!

I think it would be a bit too hard for a 18month old, but I am sure if he has lots of goes it will click
