are they that good ?? I currenty have a wet/dry staightener which is pretty good on my 'bit longer than shoulder length' hair - if you persevere with it, but it doesn't seem to hold the temperature. I am toying with the idea of buying GHDs - do you still need the technique & patience to get good results ?

only use mine 1-2 a week as the straightness stays in for ages - just do it after I wash it.

sounds bizarre I know but you hold the irons close to your head virtically and then turn them against themself iykwim and gently pull down the length of your hair. Curls are created..!! Like I said, hard to grasp but amazing once done. Nice soft curls.

I got some for Christmas & am very very impressed with them!
They straightened my hair really well with minimum effort. Much much better than my old babyliss ones.

i bought some for christmas for dp to give to me!! (otherwise he would have bought wrong ones!!)

they're brilliant but the remington wet to straight i was using before were good aswell.

DH gpt me some for christmas too. I am very happy with them. Although dh was a bit at the steam/smoke coming off my hair. He got me some of the protection creams too so should be okay.

Hi, I have a set called SHE and they are nearly as good as GHD's My sister in law used to straighten my hair with her ghd's and then one day I went to her with my straightened hair which I used my straighteners for and she asked me when I bought the GHD's. Got them from ebay for a lot less money than ghd's. Sorry went on a bit there didnt I?

The best £100 I ever spent was on my GHDs, I have long (and thick) hair and I can straighten my mental wavy hair in 15 minutes!!! After blowdrying thoroughly for 10 I should add. But I had a pair of ceramic straighteners before the GHDs and thought they were good - now I realise they were not!
