Kiddicare are the best and cheapest, click via the link on the mumsnet homepage to help mumsnet too.

LIZS · 21/12/2006 13:47

Not me personally but plenty of m'netters have and Trading standards and Watchdog have been involved. I 've used Boots.com in the past but they don't seem to have been as reliable recently.

lornaloo · 21/12/2006 13:58

I've found a pram I like, its the mamas and papas 03 sport but I can't find a raincover for it anywhere. Not even on the mamas and papas website. Any idea what raincover would fit it?

Lizs will make sure I never buy from them then, thanks .

It may be included

sweetheart · 21/12/2006 14:04

Another recommendation for Kiddiecare.

We got our buggy and nursery furniture from them - it was reasonibly priced, good quality and their customer service was FAB!

The stuff arrived so quickly I was shocked and had to find somewhere to store it.

lornaloo · 21/12/2006 14:04

Its not included. I think its really strange...

Hi sweetheart. How are you? Where have you been?

OP posts:
lornaloo · 21/12/2006 14:11

Maybe a universal raincover might work. Its a 3 wheeler though so I'm not sure.

OP posts:
alfiesmum · 21/12/2006 14:11

I would phone or email mamas and papas and see if its includeed. If you look up the instuctions for the 03 it tells you how to fit the raincover and doesn't say its an extra accessory.

lornaloo · 21/12/2006 14:12

Oh does it alfiesmum. I didn't see that. Maybe it is included then.

sweetheart · 21/12/2006 19:31

Good thanks lornaloo - I have been around! Been quite busy since I went back to work after having ds so not on as much as I used to be.

How are you doing? Are you buying a pram for any particular reason

TuttiFrutti · 21/12/2006 19:32

www.oxfordpramcentre.co.uk are very good.
Pushchair arrived the next day.

I had a bad experience with Kiddicare last week. The website wouldn't recognise my password, and when I tried clicking on the "forgotten password?" option it emailed me with another password, which I tried again with no success. This was repeated 3 times, then I emailed their customer services (you can't speak to them except on a premium rate line), got a reply 24 hours later saying try this different password, that didn't work either, I emailed them back, got another reply 24 hours later saying try something else which didn't work either... I think this is cr*ppy customer service and won't be using them again.

RubberDuckWithCranberrySauce · 23/12/2006 12:43

RubberDuckWithCranberrySauce · 23/12/2006 12:44

TuttiFrutti - I've had problems getting Kiddicare on the phone too in the past...

Teaandcake · 26/12/2006 20:04

Hello, going to be a bit controversial here but is it really wise to buy a pram online?

How do you find out how they work and what happens if something goes wrong with it? Do you have to parcel it all up and post it back to the retailer?

I know they are cheaper online but do you really get decent customer service (or any satisfaction) when you have a problem?

Sorry to stir it up but I always teach a customer how to use their pram when they collect it so they don't inadvertantly do some damage when they're grappling with something new and its not always obvious how to use it. Just good customer service.

Don't mean to offend anyone here, just not too sure how it works without a retailer to turn to when there is a problem. The manufacturers won't deal directly with consumers so what happens then?
