Why do we let it happen?

ds2 (10 months) walker (£2 from car boot!!), hippo from Ikea, 3 rollarounds, maracas.

Sherbert37 · 14/12/2006 13:41

DS1 - new mobile phone
DD and DS2 both having Nintendo DS Lite and Animal Crossing games whih they have waited for for AGES (as they tell me) - they will be the ones glued to the sockets on Christmas Day as I have wrapped the consoles without charging them. Remembered to charge the phone though.
Also get (each) a DVD, CD, game, annual , calendar and selection box plus stockings. We have no family except distant grandparents, so DH and I do feel the need to compensate as otherwise they would only get 3 presents.

MerryMellowmas · 14/12/2006 13:46

Have just secured myself the last Fairy Wonderland in South London, or so it seems! For dd1.

dd2 is only 9 months, so she has a very very small pile of 3 presents - a megablocks thing for her to grow into, and a dress from the GAP 30% off thing.

DesperatelyUpset · 14/12/2006 13:59

Meant to add that I can't believe the average spent is $400.. If I had that sort of money, I wonder what I would do with it..... definitely not stock the flat with more plastic though...

DINOsaurmummykissingsantaclaus · 14/12/2006 14:00

DS1 (7) has got Antlantis and a Bug Hoover (he's a bit of a mini David Attenborough). He's also got Subbuteo and the Great Game of Britain.

DS2 (5) has got a toy kitchen (he's a bit old for it, I think, but he pleaded, and DS3 can play with it too, a sort of pretend school set, and some Lego.

DS3 (2) has got a wooden shapesorter bus, some other puzzles and a Baby Einstein DVD.

wannaBeOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 14/12/2006 14:09

Lockets

What a lovely attitude you have towards christmas.

There are too many people who get themselves into debt over christmas!!

I used to be like that, but not any more.

I now believe that if you don't have the cash for things, then you just don't buy them.

Can you CAT me please Lockets.
