If you have a Wilkinsons near you, they usually sell shiny boxes at this time of year which are pretty and cheap. Tie a bit of curled ribbon round them and they look great.

The clear plastic boxes you sometimes get with chinese takeaways are good for this. Or you can get packs of similar boxes in pound stores. Line with a pretty paper napkin (pound store, natch) and off you go.

i strated thread on this few dasy ago and suggestions included boxes from card shops with pretty xmas napkins, or plastic 'treat bag' stype thing tied up iwth pretty ribbon
or tins from poundshops

I bought a couple of small silver square plates for DD to put some homemade something on (haven't decided what yet! . I'm then going to use cellophane and ribbon to wrap them.

I bought them from one of the charity shops that does new goods (sorry can't remember which though)- I think I've seen similar in Tesco etc too though.

Well tbh the teachers won't be eating the biscuits (after all they have no idea about the standards under which they were produced), so I would probably get some cheap white plates from Woolworths and get some of those enamel ink pens (Baker Ross do them), and get her to decorate a plate. You then bake the plate in an oven for an hour. I'd wrap the biscuits on it using clingfilm, and then wrap with paper.

Or depending on the size of the biscuits you could use a mug instead?

where do you get that plastic treat bag thing?

I used to eat biscuits made for me by my students.....and Im still here! I think they would eat them myself

hana · 11/12/2006 14:03

dinny - haven't actually bought any yet - I think I"ll look for some boxes or tins

CranberryJelley · 11/12/2006 14:04

I've bought Christmas paper plates, and am going to use them.
I hope they don't just get binned

Both my parents were teachers and they didn't throw out home made treats.

dinny · 11/12/2006 18:35

I'd eat them too (if I were a teacher!)

i have an idea how about putting them coloured cellophane from a craft shop or make you own box out of white card your child has decorated

Willow2 · 11/12/2006 18:51

Hash?

ParanoidSurreyHousewife · 11/12/2006 19:39

Well you'd definitely know whether they'd been eaten

Alas the question was what to put them in, not what to put in them!

Willow2 · 11/12/2006 20:25

Only just noticed that!

Waitrose have some lovely Gingerbread House giftboxes - I think they're £2-3. Might need to bulk it out with tissue paper though unless you're making LOTS of biscuits!
