Best pushchair for shops AND long walks on rough ground

Any recommendations? I have MacLaren Triumph which is fantastic for the shops but is worse than useless when I walk the dogs - is there a pushchair that is reasonably lightweight/compact for shops but has sturdy/biggish wheels for rough ground and long grass etc?

A Mountain Buggy Breeze perhaps? I haven't tried one myself, but if ds weren't too old I think I would be tempted.

Phil & Ted.
I bought it as I live in a remote part of Turkey.
Fabulous on even the roughest ground.

Phil and ted - a must have for either scenario and with 2 kids tied in....whoooo hoooo!

another vote from me for P&T

mamas and papas - great for town but rubbish off pavements.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 10/12/2006 18:47

the p+t isnt that light though is it? but is compact for a 3 wheeler.

I love my Jane Slalom - great for walking the dogs across rough countryside and lovely around town too. Perhaps a little bit wide though - a bit tricky to fit in some smaller shops.

P&T is 9kg.
quite light i find.

I prefer the mountain buggy terrain to the Phil and Teds.

Thanks for all the replies - hmm yes I did look at the P & T; is it smaller than the Mountain Buggy Urban? I know the latter is definitely too big for us as I've had a go with one. Lots of the local shops have eeny weeny aisles and doorways. That MB Breeze looks like it might do the job though - depends if it really is compact... think I need to see one in the flesh but I haven't seen it in shops yet.
