Jane Powertwin

Think I have finally decided on a Jane Powertwin for my DD who will be 23 months when bump arrives, really need some frank advice though. I have a single Mountain Buggy at the moment and love it, would def have a double if it folded up smaller, however the folded size of it makes it impracticle. Given that I love my MB sooooooo much am I going to be really disappointed by the Powertiwn? It does seem so flimsly compared to the MB. Also has anyone got a Powertwin and a Fiesta? Does it fit in the boot? Thanks!!!

Friend of mine has the Powertwin, I have the single MB, and the Powertwin is definitely nowhere near as nice to push/manoeuvre etc. It has also tipped a couple of times when going up/down curbs, and if the toddler at the front leans to one side. It also feels less well made & more flimsy.

Having said that, it is a double vs single so not really comparable I guess. I'd get a cheap 2nd hand Powertwin, keep the MB and then sell on the Powertwin as soon as your DD is old enough to go on a kiddyboard on the MB, and see it as a temporary pushing inconvenience

Oh, the Powertwin fits in the boot of a Golf - no idea how that compares to a Fiesta?!

i agree with amazonian woman....

my old family had a mountain buggy single.... the BEST pushcahir ive ever used... really great...

the children are 15 months apart... by the tim eldest was 2 and youngest 9 months they used it with a kiddie board on the back.... and its REALLY easy to push etc with the board on the back!

Hi Amazonian ans Nanny, thanks for that info, am starting to think I am not going to get on with the powertwin, may consider using a sling for bump and keeping DD in the Mountain Buggy for as long as possible.

That's what I'd do

I know a few just over 2yr olds who quite happily use buggyboards, so you could have a great buggy/sling/buggyboard combo to cover all eventualities. And still use the fab MB
