How do I transfer my Nook books to Kindle?

Is it even possible? I bought a Nook when they were ??20 a couple of years ago, to see if I liked E-readers really. I did, and now I've decided I want to buy a Kindle because the and prices are both better than Nook. Thing is I've a lot of books I haven't read yet on my Nook - is there a way I can transfer them over? Sorry, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to stuff like this Smile

There's an app on the Kindle Store called OverDrive which should allow you to read epub format on a Kindle.

Download Calibre to your computer and connect your Nook to copy the files into Calibre. Then you should be able to connect your Kindle to the computer and download the files from Calibre to the kindle.

Calibre can usually work out the type of device you have connected and will convert the file formats.

If you're talking about a Kindle Fire tablet then yes, there are various aps that will work for this. If you mean a Kindle ereader then it's more problematic. Kindle uses a propriatry format for its ebooks and doesn't support epub which is likely to be the format your Nook books are in. As ZacharyQuack says, Calibre can convert from various formats, including epub, into a format your Kindle can recognise. However if you've bought the books on your Nook then there's likely to be a secondary problem of DRM (digital rights management) that would need to be removed before the books can be converted. There are plugins for Calibre that can do this but it's a bit of a gray area, legally.
