in a different colour? Ds1 is thinking of asking FC for this but doesn't want a pink one!

similar idea?

schneebly · 28/11/2006 12:05

i like this one

BudaBeast · 28/11/2006 12:07

How old is your DS? I bought one of these for my DS when he was about 18 months and he still plays with it at 5 - and every child who comes into house plays with it too. Brilliant buy.

gladbag · 28/11/2006 12:09

There's this one , though it's a bit more expensive....

KTeepee · 28/11/2006 12:27

Gladbag, that one looks perfect (apart from the price!) Thanks for the other suggestions but he wants one with a hoover [hmmm]

BB my ds is 5 too - I am actually thinking it is slightly "young" for him (mainly because he is tall so wondering if he will have to bend over a lot to use it) but he is a very difficult child to buy for as he doesn't play with "toys" a lot - so anything he expresses an interest in is pounced on... he saw this toy when we were visiting family in Cork at the weekend and MIL took him to a toy shop to choose a Christmas present - obviously it is too big to drag back from there.

Bumping this because I've found out that the one Gladbag linked to is the one ds saw when out shopping but it was only 30 euro there - has anyone seen this cheaper than £30 in the UK? Thanks!

LIZS · 06/12/2006 13:11

this any good?

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 13:21

No hoover on that one I'm afraid - but if all else fails I will get something like that and a seperate hoover...

FiveGoldenFIMBOs · 06/12/2006 13:25

How much do you want to pay for one KTP?

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 06/12/2006 13:26

couple of hoovers at ELC £17.50 each.

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 13:40

Well fimbo I reckon I can get a trolley without a hoover plus a separate hoover for about £20-25, which is a lot cheaper than 29.99 plus postage. So 20-25 I suppose (maybe I should just pay the £30 and be done with it...)

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 14:29

Ok, has anyone got one of these and is it as pink as it looks?

this

I am spending far too much time looking for this thing, problem is ds doesn't really play with toys much and I don't want to spend loads of money on something that doesn't get played with

FiveGoldenFIMBOs · 06/12/2006 15:43

That looks a great bargain for Smoby they are £19.99 everywhere else I looked for you. Do you think he would get over the pinkness?

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 16:07

Well it's Tescos own brand, problem is the pinkness plus you don't get many bits and pieces with it. WHY can't Argos do their one in "normal" colours, it would be perfect - I'm sure they used to.

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 16:13

OK any opinions on whether I should get the last one I linked to or this one

this

and get a hoover somewhere else?

Blu · 06/12/2006 16:17

I think you should get the e bay one - which looks v grown up and professional, and this which also has a wider age range.

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 16:20

Yes I'm thinking that too. A shop near us has a toy Henry which is really cute.

Blu · 07/12/2006 19:01

Amazon have a very technical 'Dyson' vacuum cleaner - it is a bit pink / purply, but then so is the real thing - so looks less toy-like.
