Dd is a very small 4 yr old and has some balance issues due to eyesight and poor muscle tone - she is not strong enough to pedal.
She has outgrown all the obvious pre bike/trike options.
I want something like this (not motorised though) - not as in girly but as in the shape and style and size
here
I have googled without luck
HELP

we have one of these and they are FANTASTIC - she will be the envy of the neighbourhood

My averagely sized children got them aged just over 2 if that helps re size.

Just posted this on the other thread too so you may have seen-

www.e-niko.co.uk Bobby quad

Four wheels I know but ideal for the age, no pedals, very stable, can be used inside and out. Bought one for my DD who also has mobility issues and it's great. Expensive but should last her for ages.

Zog · 27/11/2006 14:19

Be warned though, once she gets the hang of it, you'll be running to catch up - they are soooo speedy

MrsBadger · 27/11/2006 14:22

the wooden things from Community Playthings are everything-proof - they're the ones that get punished for years at nurseries - but agree they're meant for indoors rather than dog-walking.

Love the motorbike, Zog! - saw a similar one here but guess it's too small.

Or there's this which converts to a scooter ?

Am getting the one zog suggested
As have another baby due in March it will do for dd until she grows and gains a little more confidence and then we can pop it away for when junior needs it.
dd is very quick on her little winnie the pooh car, but it cannot cope with the walk to the park.
She is def ready for an upgrade!
Am very excited!

Zog, that looks brilliant! Just one question - it says height 18.5cm - surely that's quite low as the wheely bug is 24/26cm-ish as I recall. Or have they made a mistake?

Zog · 27/11/2006 14:29

Hang on, I'll go and measure ours...

Piffle · 27/11/2006 14:30

thanks very much, mumsnet power once again!

OK, the handlebars are 18.5 inches (seat is 11 inches), so it might be worth phoning to check.

Piffle · 27/11/2006 14:36

tis def ok for us
dd has very ickle legs

Thanks Zog - kind of you to check.

Zog · 27/11/2006 14:38

Oh I really hope she loves it! We've had our two for years - we got them in South Africa (where they cost about £7 ) and everyone over here always swoons over them. Although they're cheap, they're pretty indestructible - normally the wheels wear out before anything else!

Please post back after Christmas if you remember and let me know
