Buggle Snuggles - are they good?

Think I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy a buggy snuggle (DD is 18 mo and her cosytoes from last year doesn't fit). I've tried blankets but she kicks them off or they fall off.

Bit skint at the moment so don't really want to go and pay a fortune for something that doesn't work v well or won't last a fair while. Are they any good? Will it last for next winter do you think (she'll be 2.5 years then)?

The reason I wanted a bs was I've heard they are the most roomy/easy to attach etc.

TIA

PS - Have looked on ebay for 'cheap' one but they don't exist really

We've had one for over a year (dd is now 16 months) and I'm happy with it. Seems to wear OK and the zip is strong, as are the cut-out slits for the buggy straps etc. I guess if you can't find cheap ones people hold onto them, so that could be a good sign IYSWIM.

I have one and its really good and warm. Never had a cold LO since I got it.
Also I hope it does last this long, as my LO is only 4 months I cant really help there

My son is almost 3 and still using ours. They are fab.
Also try snugglytots just as good.

i made some sort of baggy fleece trousers with no feet holes and it comes up to lo's armpits because he kept kicking off blankets.i brought really cheap blanket and it didnt take long at all.i think buggysnuggles are cute but too expensive.

I bought a buggysnuggle from ebay, it cost £20 for a second hand one, but the resale value once you have used it is pretty good. I worked out it would have been better to buy a brand new one for £30-£40, get the wear out of it, then resell it to get about half back.

The snugglytots ones look ok but the top doesnt remove to leave just a liner.

I found a lovely lady on ebay called Lucy who makes them to order, any size, shape accessories etc. Unfortunately I had just bought mine.

Try her at Lucys Accessories

They are great, look nice, easy wash and dry, and easy to attach. BUT, beware which pushchair you are using it with. I had one in my Maclaren Techno for DD and it was a nightmare. No matter how tight I tied it on, the buggysnuggle is so long that it kept getting tangled under the wheels.

I ended up selling it on eBay after the first year of use and bought DD a padded snowsuit instead!!

yes they are very good... but for those of you who have younger babies... and finding it a pain in the a**e squeezing them in and out of coats... not to mention the is it too hot? is it too cold? should i take a layer on/off? dilemna when nipping in and out of hot shops... try the
Morrck Baby Hoodie
which is fast becoming one of my best buys (the handysitt being the other!)... very very snuggly and no more dislocating arms and kegs getting baby into coats etc... plus when they fall asleep in car seat just unwrap and lift out and put into moses basket... ace!!!!

ps i don't work for them! honest!

hi. i've been looking into these too as last year ds was small baby and i just covered him in blanket but this year much too wriggly for that. buggy snuggles looked good but overpriced imo. also on ebay they have 'pupabag' which are a bit cheaper and claim to bigger than buggy snuggle (ie. last longer). Here they are {pupabag.com\pupabag}

Haven't decided what to go for yet though! Gotta be unisex so 'the next one' can use it too

I have the cowprint one and it's lovely and still in great condition after 2 winters. My 3yr old no longer sits in a buggy but as I'm expecting a newborn in January, I'm expecting it to last another 2 winters at least - definitely recommended - it fitted a M&P Pliko and a Quinny Zapp fine in my experience. Try www.kiddicare.com.

Twohootsunderthemistletoe · 24/11/2006 09:11

Thanks for all your replies Kiddicare do have one for just under £30 without postage charge so may go for that (Does anyone know if you get discount being a MN member?).

I'm really lazy and have 2 pushchairs (one in car and one in house for walks etc) and really wanted to buy 2 as couldn't be bothered with changing over .

I have a Jane carerra pushchair and a Maclaren Quest - do you think it will fit both?

TIA
