Just wondering as looking for a highchair...

yes,we've had one at the table for yrs and it's used every day .

trice · 25/11/2006 23:00

I thought they were a proper rip off and laughed at my SIL when she bought one. Then she handed it over to us (dn is going through a "big girl" phase and won't sit in it any more) for dd2.

It is brilliant, and may even be worth the money. Easy to use and easy to clean.

walkalot · 27/11/2006 22:21

I know I am late on this but I love ours, we've had ours 5 yrs and counting and it has always been my best buy,

I even used to take it on trips to friends, just unscrewed it and lay it flat in the car

mumeroo · 13/12/2006 12:54

hello again, thanks for all your recommendations. We have bought one and it looks fab. Only thing we didn't buy was a harness as I forgot (think was swooning over the glamour of the chair compared to the other ones!) Is it worth buying the fancier one? on backinaction.co.uk they say that the pricier one is only good if the parent doesn't have weak fingers which puts me off a bit! I have very small hands and fingers and suspect I may fall into this category! Anyone have any tips ta again.

LIZS · 13/12/2006 12:57

I just used a regular 2 point harness from a Clippasafe harness/reins set.

hana · 13/12/2006 13:12

yes, we just bought a harness from mothercare

MerryPiffmas · 13/12/2006 13:18

yes top chair, we never used a harness, just babyset. But I do have add that never climbed out...
WE are def having another for this next baby

hana · 13/12/2006 14:00

we bought a harness for dd2 when she was too big for the babybar part of it - kept her at the table and a bit safer ( she's almost 2 and still uses the harness)
but I would def get the baby bar for a baby! worth the money imo

Mumpbump · 13/12/2006 14:08

Where can you get the harnesses from? We have a stokke chair which is very similar, but ds keeps climbing out so we need a harness to keep him in place...

mumeroo · 13/12/2006 15:21

the place I've seen them is called www.backinaction.co.uk see under tripp trapp. was just unsure which to go for as our DS is a wriggler!

Mumpbump · 13/12/2006 15:36

Bluddi hell! £20 for a harness! Unreal... But, alas, probably necessary. Think I am going to go for the cheaper, less cool option though...

excellent chair, well recommended and ours is also groovy lime green!
we got harness at same time and am sure it only cost a fiver (it was the baby set which was £20 and would also recommend this as ds used it from 6 months, it washes easily too) from online shop ...er, trying to remember name based in shrewsbury I think.. will come to me soon I think..let me have a look.....

LIZS · 13/12/2006 16:43

Ours was the Easywash shown here . It fixes with tabs which loop around either D-rings or a slat rather than clips.

We have 2. dd is 3.5 and still uses hers and ds has his own with the baby bar. He's 15 months and getting a bit awkward getting him in and out with the bar so may start using a harness soon.
Love them.

KTreePee · 13/12/2006 16:50

I went into the local Tchibo shop after posting about my highchair falling apart - as it happens they had just got some more high chairs in and were happy to exchange my old one for a new one - the design is slightly different and looks more sturdy so fingers crossed it will last better than the other - they have come down in price too - only £25 now!

mrsratty · 13/12/2006 16:59

Is this the same sort of thing and alot cheaper?

mrsratty · 13/12/2006 17:00

Not as cheap as the tchibo one though!

suzycreamcheese · 13/12/2006 19:24

lullabys, it was called (this online shop w/ harness for about a fiver)
