Lightweight buggy for tall mum

We're after a light push-about buggy for 6 month old. We have the 3 wheeler for walking the dog off piste, but is no good in town and now she's sitting well, we thought we'd start looking. Trouble is I am nealy 6 foot and all the buggies I looked at in Mothercare were too low. Does anyone out there know of a good (cheap) buggy with either long or adjustable handles?

Well, the tallest I know is the McLaren Daytripper. Daddy (6'4" and Grandpa (6'5" don't find it too uncomfortable. There probably are taller ones out there but I haven't seen any, sure someone else will know!

john lewis sell a mamas & papas with adjustable handles. It's not cheap - but goes from birth all the way until you don't need it any more. I can't remember the name, but the assistants will help you. I'm 6ft and, having returned my first one, find this one much better. Plus it's v. light, folds up nice and small for the boot etc. etc.

We have one with an adjustable handle - the Mothercare Citilite that is new this summer. It is very good and even my husband who is 6ft2 can happily wheel it around without having to stoop! It is £90 and comes with a raincover.

Cha, I'm 6' too; haven't had a buggy for about 6 years now but the last one I had was a Maclaren, the model was the Tourer I think, Maclarens do usually have very high handles (around 102cm, 41"?)
Toys R Us might be a good place to look - they always used to have a lot and it's easier to tell if one suits you if you can actually have a push (some of them have a bar at the bottom that gets in the way when you have long legs).

Yeah, I had a go on another mum's Maclaren (Daytripper) and think it's the one for me. Anyone know where I can get them from, cheap? She said hers was £69 from John Lewis.

The cheapest place I've found for pushchairs etc is www.kiddicare.com. Daytripper costs £59.99 with free delivery. I've ordered stuff from this website and been very happy with the service. Be sure you want the pushchair first - it costs a fortune to send it back if not.
www.nappyline.co.uk does them for £60.
