Im thinking of buying abumbo for my little boy (he's 3 months old), They seem like a good ide and like the next step from his bouncy chair.
However talking to my mother she seems to think that he will grow out of it too quick and its a waste of money.
Has anyone got one or had one?
What did you think?
Was it a godsend or a waste of money?
Please let me know
Thanks (grin)

i think it's different if they want to sit in them, because a 3 or 6 year old can get back out again without injuring themselves. dd hated hers and used to arch her back and tip it over, most alarming...

Yes. DS does that to try and reach whatever is behind him. (I gave it away this week)

The type of nappy you use has an impact as well. It was very "snug" on ds in his large reusables.

bought one for dd2 adn wasn't convinced but it was great
she didn't sit up until about 8 mnths so I used it for feeding and def got my money's worth.

DS1, great for weaning, but not happy sitting in it for v long otherwise

DS2 loved it, sat in Bumbo and watched DS1 and played, was great for when DS1 and I were painting/playdohing etc.....

So we got money's worth

We received one as a present. They don't last long so I wouldn't recommend buying one yourself but it 's a nice pressie to receive! Definitely a luxury non-essential item!

Thanks everyone for your responses (grin)
