have decided this is what i need.

am so over pushchairs

no, seriously, am looking for a back carrier and only want ot buy one so want to get the right one. (instead of the 65 prams i bought and now need to find new homes for )

i want it to be comfy and easy to use etc
-have heard you can get ones that stand when off, so can get on/off when alone (and also put down without getting him out)
-have some idea that theres one which can be used as a pushchair too?? philandteds maybe? anyone used one?

hmmm - the Mamcoat looks less, um, elegant, but definately warmer and cosier... (do you think the crazy headwear is compulsory?)

have rented the ergo and two patapuks (or soemthing) ONE DESIGNED FOR BABIES AND ONE SPECIFICALLY FOR TODDLERS or heavier (sorry caps lock ) babies so i thought worth a try from bigmamaslings. will try them all out for a fortnight, then know better what i want.

sounds more and more like its ergo i want tho - thanks for all the positive voting everyone!

the rented ergo and baby and toddler patapums have arrived... all look pretty similar tbh, but have only tested the ergo so far:

IT ROCKS!!!

10m old LOVES it, cried when i took him out to test it with the 2 y old, who loved it too!! and best thing is, it was comfortable for me!! all front carriers hurt my back/neck (i know ive bought and tried about 50!) so i am v pleasently surprised

hurrah!! long country walks here we come! making the dinner without baby stuck to lower leg, whinging, bring it on!

im pleased. can you tell?

I'mhoping my Ergo will come today....

Knew you'd love it!

Re the coats - the mamajacket is gorg but the insert is a bit odd, it's woolley and doesn't match. Non waterproof just isn't a goer here (drowned rat in scotland emoticon required!)

Am considering whether to add some mental hats to my mamcoat. it has a hood but it's a bit dull...

did you try your kids on the back?
